Foreword

I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for clients of all sexual orientations, racial/ethnic backgrounds, and beliefs. My own style of therapy is highly relational and eclectic utilizing insights from a variety of theoretical orientations where most appropriate to growth and change. I partner with clients in developing goals for therapy and ways to mark behavioral change. ​

Individual Therapy

Dr. Kevin McClone has provided individual therapy to adults who are experiencing a wide range of concerns. including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and breaking free from compulsive and addictive patterns. Dr. McClone has extensive experience in working with compulsive behaviors, particularly in the area of alcohol and drug addiction, overeating, sexual addiction and compulsive use of internet pornography. He has also worked with a number of women and men who are healing from painful childhood and family of origin experiences. Dr. McClone has extensive experience working with clergy and religious life including addressing some of the special challenges of this life.

Workshop Presenter

Dr Kevin McClone has been a keynote speaker both nationally and internationally on topics related to human sexuality, addiction recovery, building healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, coping with difficult persons and dealing with loss and grief. He regularly offers workshops and retreats on mental health issues, including depression, sexual addiction and internet pornography, and professional boundaries. He has been a featured speaker for Guest House Institute, the National Federation of Priests Councils, Palliative Care organizations, the National Catholic Seminary Association, Catholics on Call and numerous parishes and dioceses both in the United States and abroad.

Psychological Testing and Assessment for Clergy and Religious

Psychological Testing: Psychological testing is a particular part of psychological assessment and diagnosis. It may be the sole service provided or it may be part of a process that includes diagnosis and treatment. Psychologists are trained in administering and interpreting psychological tests for a wide range of issues.
Dr. McClone offers a range of diagnostic, treatment, educational and consultation services to help you with the psychological issues you may be facing. He has specialized in offering psychological testing and assessment to clergy, religious, and seminarians including several different men and women’s religious communities for over twenty years. Dr. McClone provides a battery of tests in line with the current best practices and provides practical and useful feedback to clients, formation personnel and vocation ministers.

Consultation

Dr. McClone offers services to support leadership of clergy, religious orders and dioceses in managing and resolving difficult situations which may arise with religious and clergy in community and parish life. These difficulties can have their origin in mental health problems, addiction or compulsive disorders, difficult personalities, or personality conflict. The issues may affect the person’s ability to minister effectively and their interaction with peers and leadership and the people of God. Consultation is offered in several forms to individual leaders and to groups both large and small. Dr. McClone has helped facilitate the collaboration of religious leadership teams and formation programs.
